Northern Territory Police have arrested a 16-year-old male after he escaped custody overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said the youth was located by Police hiding at a residence in Moulden just before 9:30am.

“He was arrested without incident.

“Police still hold concern for the welfare of the outstanding 16-year-old escapee.

“He is described as of being Indigenous appearance, approximately 168cm tall and last seen wearing a black shirt with football shorts.

“This individual is a known property offender and we urge the public to be mindful when locking their vehicles and homes.

“We urge Liam to surrender himself to Police.

“Police are asking anyone with any information, or anyone who may has seen or spoken Liam to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
