Alice Springs Police have charged a 23-year-old man with property offences and six counts of criminal deception.
Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said the alleged offender broke into a vehicle at a residence in Larrapinta on 10 May and stole a number of items including a pair of sunglasses, keys and a bank card.
“Police allege the offender used the bank card at six different stores in Alice Springs CBD to purchase food items and clothing totalling $550.”
Alice Springs Police arrested the man yesterday and charged him with:
- Interfere with a motor vehicle
- Stealing
- Criminal deception (x6)
He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates on 19 July.
