Police have seized a quantity of cocaine a charged a 41-year-old man with drug offences following a search warrant in Alice Springs yesterday.

Detective Superintendent Travis Wurst said members from the Southern Drug Investigation Unit and Cross Border team executed a search warrant at a hotel room at around 2:00pm.

“As a result of the search Police located and seized a clip seal bag containing two grams of cocaine.

“The 41-year-old Adelaide man was arrested and charged with possess a schedule 1 drug – trafficable quantity.”

He was granted and will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 9 October 2015.
