Detectives from the Southern Child Abuse Taskforce have charged a 56-year-old male in relation to possession of child abuse material in Alice Springs yesterday.

The male was arrested on 30 December and charged with:

• Possess child abuse material x 2
• Distribute child abuse material
• Use carriage to make child pornography available

He has been remanded in custody and will appear in the Alice Springs Court today.
