Southern Serious Crime Squad Detectives have charged a 19-year-old man yesterday following the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Alice Springs last month.
Detective Sergeant Joedy Kitchen said that Police allege that the man sexually assaulted a 37-year-old woman during the early hours of 1 September 2015.
“As a result of investigations into the matter Police arrested the 19-year-old man at shortly before 9:00am on 7 October in Alice Springs.”
He was charged with:
- Sexual intercourse without consent
- Aggravated assault
The man has been remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Court today.
