Three male youths are to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court today, following a robbery and unlawful entry in Darwin’s Northern Suburbs yesterday.
Detective Senior Constable Andrew Nicholson from the Serious Crime Squad said the youths, two aged 15 and a 16-year-old were allegedly involved in the incident involving a taxi and the unlawful entry of a home in Fannie Bay early Thursday morning.
“All three youths were arrested yesterday morning and were charged late last night,” Detective Senior Constable Nicholson said.
The youths were charged with:
- Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- Unlawful entry – dwelling (x2)
- Stealing (x2)
- Aggravated robbery
- Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
The 16-year-old was also charged with:
- Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- Drive motor vehicle while unlicensed
- Fail to obey direction of a Police Officer
- Exceed speed limit 16-30km
One of the 15-year-olds was charged with:
- Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- Stealing
All three were remanded in custody to appear in court today.
