Charges – Aggravated Assault – Moulden

Northern Territory Police have charged a 44-year-old man following the alleged aggravated assault of a woman in Moulden.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said Police will allege the man unlawfully entered the victim’s property in the early morning of 25 July 2015, and assaulted her. 

He was arrested yesterday after a search warrant at his residence. He was charged with: 

  • Aggravated assault
  • Armed with an offensive weapon
  • Unlawful entry
  • Deprivation of liberty

He was further interviewed in relation to the alleged theft and use of a credit card from April 2015. He was charged with stealing and obtaining benefit by deception (x35).

He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
