A 37-year-old man has been charged with possess and supply cannabis following a search at a residence in Warrumiyanga.

Remote Sergeant Steven Downie said Police conducted a search of the property today and located and seized 160 grams of cannabis.

“The man was arrested and charged with possess cannabis – trafficable quantity and supply a dangerous drug.

“If sold in a remote community Police estimate the cannabis could have fetched $24,000.

“He was remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.”
