Drug and Organised Crime Detectives have arrested a male and female after a quantity of cannabis was seized in Darwin’s rural area.
Acting Superintendent Clint Sims said the pair was arrested yesterday following a search warrant at a property in Herbert on Friday 1 May.
“On search of the property Police located 6.75kg of cannabis, 21 lysergic acid tablets (LSD), over $33,000 in cash and a large quantity of fireworks.”
A 42-year-old male and 49-year-old female were charged with:
- Possession of a schedule one drug - commercial
- Possession of cannabis – commercial
- Supply cannabis
- Possess tainted property
- Possess fireworks without permit
They will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 17 June.
