Detectives from the Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk (NSAID) have seized 1.8 kilograms of cannabis from a residence in Girraween.
Detective Superintendent Kris Evans said Detectives from NSAID and members from the Dog Operation Unit executed a search at the residence yesterday.
“As a result of the search Police located and seized 1.8kilograms of cannabis divided in to cryovac bags as well as digital scales, clip seal bags, heat sealing bags, heat sealing machine a small quantity of ammunition, cash and a digital cash counter.
“Two men aged 45 and 46 were arrested at the scene and charged with:
- Possess Cannabis – commercial quantity
- Supply Cannabis - commercial quantity
- Possess Tainted Property
- Possess Ammunition with a licence
- Fail to meet storage requirements
“They will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court this morning.”
