Police have arrested and charged a 42-year-old male and a 23-year-old female with drug offences following a search warrant at a Darwin hotel yesterday.
Commander Tony Fuller from the Crime and Specialist Support Command said detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Division located a large quantity of cannabis and cash during the search.
“Approximately 3.6 kilograms of cannabis was located, along with $3,100 in cash.
“During the warrant, a 23-year-old female attended the location, she was searched and subsequently a small quantity of methamphetamine was located in her handbag.
The 42-year-old male was charged with:
- Possess cannabis – commercial quantity
- Possess methamphetamine – trafficable quantity
- Supply cannabis – commercial quantity
- Supply methamphetamine
- Receive property commission of offence
He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
The 23-year-old female was charged with:
- Possess methamphetamine
- Possess thing to administer dangerous drug.
She was bailed to appear in Darwin Magistrates court on 2 March 2015.
