Northern Territory Police have charged a 43-year-old South Australian man following a large cannabis seizure yesterday.
Detective Superintendent Brent Warren from the Southern Investigations Division said just after 12.00pm yesterday Police pulled over a Toyota Landcruiser 20 kilometres south of Stuart Wells.
“Drug detection dog Wilson gave a positive response to the interior of the vehicle and subsequently 2.6 kilograms of cannabis was located in a cooler.”
The driver was arrested and charged with possession and supply of a commercial quantity of cannabis. He will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
His 20-year-old male passenger was questioned and released without charge.
