NT Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a sexual assault occurred in Borroloola yesterday morning.

Detective Senior Constable Luke Dalgliesh said a 32-year-old woman was approached while out jogging along Searcy St at approximately 6.00am.

“The woman was allegedly pulled into some nearby bushes and assaulted by two males.

“Borroloola Police have been working closely with the community throughout this incident, to provide awareness and to gain information.  Two people are currently assisting with enquiries.

“Police are appealing to anyone that was in the area around this time or anyone who may have seen suspicious persons is urged to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
