Call for Witnesses - Indecent Assault - Alice Springs

Police are investigating an alleged indecent assault of a 24-year-old woman in Alice Springs yesterday evening.

Superintendent Brent Warren said the incident occurred on the Todd River footbridge on Undoolya Road at around 6.30pm.

“It is alleged a man approached the woman while she was walking across the bridge and inappropriately touched her.

“The man is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, wearing jeans, a dark sweater, running shoes and a cap.

“The man was in company with another male who is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, wearing jeans, a long sleeved jumper, running shoes and a red beanie.

“Anyone in the vicinity of Undoolya Road footbridge between 6 and 7pm or anyone who may have any information is urged to call Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
