NT Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in Alice Springs last night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Dash said a 31-year-old female was assaulted at Billy Goat Hill at approximately 11.20pm.

“It is alleged the man sexually assaulted the woman before she fled and Police were contacted.

“The man is described as between 25 and 45-years-old, of Aboriginal appearance, 170cm tall, medium build, wearing a blue shirt and dark coloured jeans.

“Police are asking anyone in the area of Billy Goat Hill between 11pm and midnight last night who may have seen someone matching the description, or anyone with information relating to the assault to call Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
