Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following the theft of a motor vehicle from a residence in Muirhead overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from Strike Force Trident said the residence was unlawfully entered between the hours of 9:00pm Monday and 2:30am today.

“A grey-coloured Commodore, registration number CB34KF, was taken from the residence, and later caught on CCTV at a Fannie Bay service station.

“Police are very interested in speaking with the male pictured in the CCTV footage. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, medium build with dark hair. He was seen wearing blue shorts, black T shirt and a dark cap.

“Police ask anyone with any information in relation to the whereabouts of the vehicle, or the identity of the individual described to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.”
