Northern Territory Police have arrested a teenaged male in relation to a sexual assault in the community of Ngukurr on 17 December.

“Following investigations and acting on information received from the community, a local resident was arrested early this afternoon,” Detective Senior Sergeant David Richardson said.

The alleged offender is being transferred to Katherine. It is expected that charges will be laid against him later today.
