Alice Springs Show wrap up

Police

Police would like to thank community members and visitors who attended the Alice Springs Show for their behaviour throughout the show days.

Senior Sergeant Neil Hayes of Alice Springs Police said crowd behaviour at the show was excellent with lots of families enjoying the day.

“Across the show days Police maintained a strong presence, assisting with a number of lost children who were quickly reunited with worried parents and some lost belongings that were returned to their owners.

“Police were contacted in relation to a small number of minor disturbances, however upon attendance the groups dispersed and nil offences were committed.

“It was great to see many members of the local and surrounding bush community as well as interstate visitors at the Show. The Police, Fire and Emergency Services display was well attended and with the kids especially enjoying the ride on ”Jock the mini Fire Truck” and having the opportunity to dress up as Police Officers, Fire Fighters and NTES volunteers,” Senior Sergeant Hayes said.
