Members from the Tennant Creek Investigation Unit have charged two women in relation to an alleged aggravated assault of a 20-year-old woman.

Detective Sergeant Kieron Weller said it is alleged the two women aged 30 and 38 unlawfully entered a Tennant Creek residence on 29 June and assaulted the victim.

“The victim was taken to hospital to received treatment for injuries to her arm and leg.”

Tennant Creek Police arrested the two women yesterday and charged them both with:

• Aggravated unlawful entry
• Damage to property
• Deprivation of liberty
• Unlawfully caused serious harm
• Aggravated assault
• Engage in violent conduct

They were remanded in custody and will appear in Tennant Creek Court today.
