Strike Force Vega members have charged a 15-year-old male with 32 property offences following a number of unlawful entries in Alice Springs.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips said the youth allegedly interfered with cars at three business and two homes between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

“The businesses in the CBD and homes on the north side, and cars at those same locations, sustained thousands of dollars worth of damage,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Phillips said.

“The youth was arrested and charged with numerous offences including damage property (x15), interfere with a motor vehicle (x12) and stealing (x3).”

The youth was bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on Friday 24 January 2014.
