Two Youths Charged Following Crime Spree - Darwin

Strike Force Trident Detectives have charged two male youths following a $150,000 crime spree across Darwin and Palmerston.

Detective Sergeant Mark Bland said Police allege the two offenders aged 12 and 14, unlawfully entered a business on Smith Street on 22 June and stole two vehicles valued at $62,000.

“Police allege the two youths stole a further four vehicles from residents in Palmerston during the past month.

“The two youths also allegedly unlawfully entered a fast food business in Durack on 20 April and stole four bottles of soft drink."

Police arrested the two youths in Grey on Saturday and charged the pair with:

Stealing (x4)

Damage to property (x2)

Trespass (x3)

Unlawful enter building (x4)

Unlawful enter dwelling

Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle (x8)

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle (x4)

They will both appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court today.
