Two Arrested for Multiple Unlawful Entries - Darwin

Strike Force Trident Detectives have arrested and charged two males for multiple offences committed throughout the Darwin and Palmerston area.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said Police responded to reports of suspicious activity on a premises on McKinnon Road, Pinelands on Monday night, 08 December.

“Police responded swiftly and arrested the two males aged 17 and 27 at the scene.

“Further investigations revealed these two males had allegedly also been involved in at least 13 other unlawful entries to business premises and constructions sites around Darwin, Winnellie, Pinelands and Yarrawonga.

“Police executed a search warrant on a location in the Northern Suburbs and located approximately $50,000 worth of stolen goods, including tools and electronic items.

The 27-year-old was charged with receiving stolen property, possessing stolen property, attempting unlawful entry and damage to property.

He was bailed with strict conditions to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 20 January 2015.

The 17-year-old was charged with attempted unlawful entry and damage to property and was bailed to appear the Darwin Youth Justice Court on 15 December 2014.
