Two arrested for aggravated assault - Darwin

Police from the Gangs Taskforce have arrested two males, aged 30 and 21, following an alleged aggravated assault in Mitchell Street in the early hours of 7 November.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Akers said both alleged offenders were arrested in the suburb of Moil later the same day.

“Detectives and Members from the TRG and Dog Operations Unit executed a warrant and arrested both men without incident.

“The 30-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault and being armed with an offensive weapon at night.

“The 21-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault.

“Both were bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 20 November.

“The 24-year-old victim was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital and later discharged.”
