Strike Force Trident Arrest Two - Darwin

Detectives from Strike Force Trident have charged two males with property and traffic offences following the theft of two motor vehicles earlier this week.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said two males aged 17 and 19 allegedly unlawfully entered a residence in Stuart Park at around 10:30pm on Tuesday.

“The offenders allegedly stole mobile phones, wallets, handbags and two Mitsubishi Pajeros valued at $45,000.

“The two offenders also allegedly stole two bottles of rum from a liquor store in Casuarina Village on at around 10:50am Wednesday.

“Police located one of the stolen Pajeros in Marlow Lagoon later that day.

“An off duty member from Strike Force Trident identified the other stolen Pajero pull up at a residence in Moil on Wednesday evening. The two offenders were arrested.”

The 19-year-old was charged with:

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

Stealing

Drive unlicensed.

He was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 5 March.

The 17-year-old was charged with:

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle (x2)

Stealing

Drive unlicensed

Unlicensed driver with alcohol in blood

He was remanded in custody and will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.
