Stealing with Violence - Public Assistance Sought - Jingili

Police are seeking public assistance in relation to a stealing with violence incident that occurred at a service station in Jingili early this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said two males attended the service station on McMillians Road at around 2am.

“One male waited outside while the second male entered the service station removed two bottles of soft drink and attempted to leave without paying.

“An employee remotely locked the doors preventing the man from leaving. The offender then threw a can of soft drink at the employee. The can missed the employee however struck a ceiling light causing it to smash.

“The employee released the remote lock for the door and the offender fled the scene.

“The offender is described as being of Islander appearance, solid build, approximately 180cm tall, 18-24-years-old. He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and light coloured shorts.”
