A 22-year-old woman will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today following the theft of $100,000 worth of jewellery.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Karl Day said the woman allegedly stole two rings from a jewellery store in Casuarina at around 12:30pm yesterday.

“The woman was arrested by Police a short time later. She was charged with aggravated stealing and remanded in custody.

“A 40-year-old man was also arrested yesterday, he remains in Police custody and is assisting with enquiries.”
