A 23-year-old man has been charged in relation to the alleged sexual assault of 30-year-old woman in Yulara.

Detective Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips from the Southern Investigations Division said the alleged offender sexually assaulted the woman in her accommodation at around 2am, Wednesday 1 January.

“He was arrested by Police and charged with:

Sexual intercourse without consent

Unlawful entry

“He has been bailed to appear in Court at a later date.”
