Police have charged a 19-year-old man in relation to the alleged sexual assault and robbery of a 19-year-old woman in Gray on the weekend.

Detective Superintendent James O’Brien from the Sex Crimes Division said the alleged incident occurred on Temple Terrace at around 3am Saturday.

The offender was arrested by Police yesterday afternoon.

He has been charged with:

Indecent assault (x2)

Attempted sexual intercourse without consent

Aggravated assault

Robbery.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
