Northern Territory Police from the Sex Crimes Unit have charged a 36-year-old male with attempt sexual intercourse without consent and aggravated assault.

Detective Senior Constable Megan Burke said the man was arrested yesterday following the alleged assault shortly after 11pm on Friday.

“The alleged offender was arrested by Police at about 6.30pm yesterday in Moulden.

“Police would like to thank members of the public who provided information which enabled Detectives to quickly identify a suspect and make an arrest.”

The man remains in custody and expected to face the Darwin Magistrates Court later this week.
