Northern Territory Police continue to request information on the whereabouts of 45-year-old man Sergey Bezsmertny.

Senior Sergeant Michael Potts from the Central Desert Division said new information has come to Police attention, with a witness placing Sergey on the Lasseter Highway, 20km East of Yulara, at 2pm of 24 October 2014.

“This is approximately 100km from where his backpack was located at 1100am on 25 October.

“Police believe that Sergey may have been provided a lift within this time frame.

“Sergey was dressed in a long sleeved white shirt, blue jeans and possibly wearing a white shirt over his head in a makeshift hat. 

“At this time he was in possession of his black and red backpack.

“We are hoping these details may assist in prompting memories and we call upon any witnesses to please contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000”.
