A 64-year-old man is to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today in relation to a number of historic sexual assaults.

It is believed the offences occurred on two separate children in 2002.

Southern Child Abuse Taskforce Detectives extradited the man from Queensland and charged him with sexual intercourse without consent (x2) and indecent dealings with a child under 16 year (x5).
