A 29-year-old man is to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court tomorrow after being located in possession of child abuse material.

Detectives from the Southern Child Abuse Taskforce executed a search warrant on a residence in Alice Springs on 8 May and located a laptop with 64 child abuse images and 35 videos.

He was charged with possess child abuse material and distribute child abuse material (x2) and remanded in custody to appear in court tomorrow, 21 May 2014.
