Man Arrested – Reckless Driving - Darwin

A 30-year-old man is to appear in court today following a reckless driving incident in Darwin City yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Schiller said the man was driving a 4x4 towards the city when an altercation occurred between him and his 33-year-old female passenger.

“It is alleged the man drove to Fisherman’s Wharf where he drove erratically.

“The woman exited the vehicle and within a short time, Police attended and arrested the man,” Detective Senior Sergeant Schiller said.

He was charged with:


Drive a motor vehicle while disqualified

Drive medium range blood alcohol content

Drive vehicle in a manner dangerous

Recklessly endangering life

Damage to property.

The 30-year-old was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court.
