Four Youths Arrested - The Gardens

Strike Force Trident Detectives have arrested four male youths following the unlawful entry of several vehicles in The Gardens.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said a 15, 16 and two 13-year-olds allegedly broke into two vehicles on 27 October and stole wallets and bank cards.

“Police allege the youths also attempted to steal a third vehicle but were disturbed by the owners.

“Police arrested the youths a short time later and recovered the stolen property.

“It is also alleged that the 15 and 16-year-old unlawfully entered a hotel room in Darwin on the 3rd of October and stole $6,400 worth of items including iPhones, a passport and two Versace wallets.”

The 16-year-old was charged with unlawful entry (x 2), stealing (x 2) and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The 15-year old was charged with unlawful entry (x 3), stealing (x 5), trespass (x 4) and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

One 13 year old was charged with unlawful entry (x 2), stealing (x 4), trespass (x 4) and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and was remanded in custody.

The second 13-year-old received Youth Diversion.
