Four Youths Arrested - Darwin

Police

Strike Force Trident Detectives have charged four youths after they allegedly stole a motor vehicle and crashed it into a fence in Malak.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said a female aged 13 and three males aged 13, 14, and 15 allegedly stole a motor vehicle from a residence in Driver on Tuesday night.

“The youths attended a service station in Fannie Bay and allegedly filled the car up with $78 worth of petrol before driving off.

“The youths drove the vehicle to Malak before losing control of the car and colliding into a fence on the corner of Patterson Street and Vanderlin Drive.

“The vehicle sustained extensive damage to it’s undercarriage rendering the Ford Falcon undriveable.

“The youths fled the scene and were arrested by Strike Force Trident Detectives yesterday.”

They have been charged with property and traffic offences and will appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court tomorrow.
