A 34-year-old man will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today following a firearm incident in Humpty Doo.

Detective Senior Sergeant Annette Cooper said Police received a report of an altercation between the alleged offender and a 32-year-old man at a Humpty Doo residence at around 3pm on Monday.

“The 34-year-old man fled the scene in a vehicle and was apprehended by Police a short time later in Virginia.

“He was arrested and charged with assault - threaten with firearm, aggravated assault, engage in violent conduct, point firearm at person.”
