A third person has passed away on Northern Territory roads this weekend, following a motorcycle crash on Litchfield Park Road today.

Territory Duty Superintendent Helen Braam said the incident was reported to Police at around 10:55am.

"It appears the male victim lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and crashed.

Police and Batchelor Clinic staff attended the scene; however the man passed away before he could be medevaced.

An investigation will be conducted into the cause of the crash, after which, a report will be prepared for the Coroner."

The road toll now stands at 35 compared to 31 for the same time last year.
