A 37-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a crash on Friday 10 January.
Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Casey from the Major Crash Investigation Section said the man was a passenger in the car at the time of the crash.
“A white Daewoo Leganza sedan has side-swiped a Triton utility near the traffic lights on the corner of Trower and Rapid Creek Roads. The man, who was sitting behind the driver, was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.
“Tragically, the man has passed away this afternoon.
Acting Senior Sergeant Casey said investigations into the crash continue and ask anyone with information to contact Police on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The death is the first on Northern Territory roads for 2014.
At the same time last year the road toll was 2.
