The NT road toll has risen for the second time today, following the death of a man involved in a single vehicle rollover in Darwin River.

Territory Duty Superintendent Bob Harrison said the crash, at the intersection of Meade Road and Darwin River Road, was reported to Police at around 8:25pm.

"Emergency services attended, however, the male driver was declared deceased at the scene.

"Police are currently at the crash site and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are underway."

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

The road toll now stands at 34 compared to 31 for the same time last year.
