The Northern Territory road toll has risen to two following the death of a male pedestrian on the Stuart Highway in Berrimah tonight.
Duty Superintendent, Louise Jorgensen said it appears the male walked into the path of an oncoming motorcyclist.
“He was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance and transferred to Royal Darwin Hospital. Tragically, the man passed away a short time later.
“The male motorcyclist was treated for non-life threatening injuries and also taken to hospital.
“Major Crash Investigators are at the scene and investigations are ongoing.
“Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.”
