Two males aged 43 and 31 will face the Magistrates Court following a search warrant in Katherine.

Detective Sergeant Ian Kennon from the Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk said cannabis, steroids and prohibited weapons were allegedly discovered at the residence.

“Officers located a trafficable quantity of cannabis, a small amount of steroids, two 12 gauge shotguns, ammunition, fireworks and a number of illegal pellet guns.”

The 43-year-old male was charged with:

Possess a trafficable amount of cannabis (87 grams)

Possess a schedule 2 drug – steroids

Possess fireworks

The 31-year-old man was given a notice to appear for:

Possess cannabis

Possess prohibited weapon

Possess firearm and ammunition without a licence

Fail to meet storage requirements

Both men will appear in the Katherine Magistrates Court on December 17
