Police have charged a 30-year-old man with drug offences and seized a trafficable quantity of cannabis and methamphetamine in Katherine this morning.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Ian Kennon said Detectives from the Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk, assisted by the Northern Investigation Section, executed a search warrant at a residence in Katherine North.
“Police located and seized, two mature cannabis plants, cannabis plant material, methamphetamine, steroids, unsecured ammunition and fireworks.”
The 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with:
Possess cannabis – trafficable quantity
Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug – trafficable quantity
Possess schedule 2 dangerous drug (steroids)
Possess ammunition without a licence
Fail to meet storage requirements – ammunition
Possess fireworks
Possess implement to administer dangerous drug
He will appear in Katherine Magistrates Court on 9 December 2014.
