A 43-year-old man will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today in relation to drug and firearm charges following the execution of a search warrant in Humpty Doo over the weekend.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tanya Woodcock said Police were called out to the residence on Saturday following a domestic violence related incident.
“A 43-year-old man was arrested and Detectives from Strike Force Viridian executed search warrants at the property.
“Police located and seized a handgun, an air rifle, a magazine, a quantity of methamphetamine and a quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
The 43-year-old man was charged with:
Robbery
Possess schedule 2 dangerous drug – trafficable quantity
Possess methamphetamine
Interfere with a motor vehicle
Possess category A firearm – unlicensed
Possess prohibited firearm
Fail to meet storage requirements (x2)
Possess thing to administer dangerous drug (x2)
He was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
Investigations are continuing in relation to the domestic violence related incident.
