Police have responded to reports of a domestic violence incident in Leanyer and arrested a 35 year old male for allegedly assaulting his 37 year old partner.

Divisional Superintendent Bruce Porter said Police treat any reported crimes of this nature very seriously.

“Northern Territory Police will continue to target domestic violence and encourage public assistance to ensure we prevent such crimes occurring.

If you are a victim of domestic violence or if you suspect domestic violence may be occurring, please call Police on 131 444,” he said.
