Domestic Violence Charges - Alice Springs

Police

A 33-year-old man is to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today, following his arrest for outstanding interstate warrants.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren from Southern Investigations Division said the man had an outstanding warrant for violent offences committed in South Australia and was residing in Docker River.

“He was arrested yesterday for the outstanding warrants under the Cross Border Justice Act by NT Police from Warakurna Police Station with the assistance of Community Engagement Police and intelligence provided by the Cross Border Domestic Violence Intelligence Desk,” Superintendent Warren said.

“This arrest serves as a reminder to violent offenders – You can run, but you can’t hide from NT Police.”

He was remanded in custody overnight to appear in court today.
