Two Northern Territory Police vehicles were damaged following a crash in the early hours of this morning.

Superintendent Robert Rennie from the Traffic Operations Division said the two vehicles were travelling together along Virginia Road at about 3am this morning when the crash occurred.

“Early investigations suggest the lead vehicle has turned right as the vehicle behind has attempted to overtake.

“Both vehicles have ended up in the culvert alongside the road.”

Superintendent Rennie said two of the four occupants were taken to RDH as a precaution.

The crash is now subject to an investigation from the Major Crash Unit.
