Police are investigating the death of a 47-year-old man who was found at the scene of a crash in Ludmilla early this morning.

Sergeant Mark Casey of the Major Crash Investigation Section said the man was travelling in a utility on the Stuart Highway near Bagot Road when the crash occurred at around 2:30am.

“Early investigations indicate the driver likely suffered a medical event prior to crashing into a fence.

“Police, Fire and Rescue and St John Ambulance members attended, however the man was declared deceased a short time later,” Sergeant Casey said.
