Carlie Sinclair - One Year On

Police

Northern Territory Police are calling for information from the public relating to the disappearance of Carlie Sinclair on the night of 18 June last year.

Carlie Sinclair went missing from her premises at the rear of Beaurepaires on the Stuart Highway, Parap and has not been heard from since.

“It has been twelve months now since Carlie disappeared and someone must know something,” said Acting Commander Tony Fuller.

“Given the devotion Carlie had to her son, the most likely outcome is that she has unfortunately met with foul play on or about the 18th June 2013,” he said.

To reinvigorate the public interest in finding out what happened to Carlie Sinclair, Crime Stoppers NT have launched a wide-scale campaign encouraging the public to come forward.

Crime Stoppers NT are promoting the campaign in pubs and clubs, amongst people that may not regularly read the paper or watch the news, with coasters placed at local drinking establishments. Large scale banners will be placed in high profile areas and local Police will be handing out cards, calling for the public to disclose any information they may have about Carlie’s disappearance.

Today, Chief Minister Adam Giles announced that the Northern Territory Government is offering a $250,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for the disappearance.

“Along with Carlie’s family, the dedicated team of detectives that have been working on this case since the outset are delighted that the Northern Territory Government has today announced such a substantial reward to help us bring justice for Carlie.

“Someone out there holds the key to solving this investigation. It is possible that they may not have heard previous appeals so we again seek the public’s assistance. Hopefully the announcement of this reward will be further incentive for people to come forward with the vital information needed to crack this case.”

If you have any information please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or NT Police on 131 444.
