Police have arrested and charged a 63-year-old male with drug offences following a search warrant at an Alice Springs property yesterday.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Phillips, from the Southern Investigation Section said Police located a number of safes during the raid, which were found to contain a quantity of cash and cannabis.
“Approximately 877grams of cannabis packaged in cryovac and clip seal bags was seized, along with $10,465 in cash.
“Police also located cannabis concealed in half a kilogram of baked goods”.
The offender was charged with:
Possess schedule 2 commercial quantity Possess tainted property Supply dangerous drug.
He was released on bail to appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 4 September.
A further two males at the property were issued with Notices to appear for drug offences. They will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 10 September.
