Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad have charged a 24-year-old man with arson following a house fire on Trower Road, Alawa, on Saturday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Schiller said the man will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.

“He has been charged with arson, two counts of recklessly endanger life and two counts of criminal damage.”

The house was extensively damaged in the fire.
